Art and literature had many ways of explaining the mood in that time period where they could reflect on poems and people’s artwork. The poems and art work was reflected differently. You could see the art work was not respected with the views of other people. They did not like the art work that people had originally made. The literature people describe it more differently. The literature went more in depth of what the great depression was like and the poems described how war was like. The first poem you can tell it people going through the war because people are tired of the war. The current mood in this poem is that people just want to be done and over with the war. For example when they talk about the war, â€Å"like you can watch your friend up in the wagon and see him die because of the cold† (The Humanistic Tradition Chapter 34). You can tell that people are suffering because of this war and you can tell that the mood is very dreary and people did were depressed all the time. The second poem was describing the views of war, but view war as a different mood. The current mood that people describe it in this reading is that they were more depressed and want the war to end. For example when they said â€Å"But there is no water† (The Humanistic Tradition Chapter 34). They want people to see that this war place was very depressing and people want to just be done.
